How to become a Christian. The Prayer to Secure Your Eternal Life.

Dear Lord Jesus.

I know that I am a sinner.

I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. From this day, I trust, follow and want You as my Lord and Savior. And now invite Your Holy Spirit into my life to teach and comfort me.

From this confession of my mouth.

I now believe you have cast my sins as far as east is far west, into the sea of forgetfulness and you remember them no longer. I know on this earth there are still consequences for my actions—but even those consequences are in Your hands as the mighty judge over my life. I believe now I have a fresh start, a clean slate.

And I can rely on You for everything from this day forward.

Thank You Heavenly Father, for sending Your Son Jesus in my place, and that His precious blood cleanses me from all my unrighteous acts. I now put my life into the care of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit from this day forward and forever.
